The Baylands Nature Preserve, immediately adjacent to Shoreline Park, provides a natural wetland habitat for permanent wildlife inhabitants as well as visiting species of waterfowl traveling along the migration route between Canada and Mexico. The trail through the Baylands Preserve provides one of the best opportunities in the urban bay area to observe wildlife in their natural setting. The safe and level trail provides a perfect place for the entire family to ride and learn more about the marsh ecosystem in the bay area. |

Center in Palo Alto. Hours: 8:00 A.M. to sunset. Trail Conditions: Trails in the levee and bayland areas are packed dirt. Renzel Trail is paved. All trails are level and permit two-way travel. Cost: Free |

The Baylands Nature Preserve is located in Palo Alto near the bay wetlands. Close parking is available at Byxbee Park.
